It is the activity of facilitating change in an organisation or company by defining needs/opportunities and offering solutions that give value to stakeholders. Business analysis Non-profit professional organisation IIBA is dedicated to the Business Analysis sector by serving as the voice of the community. There is a great deal of support from IIBA to keep the certification and practises of Business Analysis globally recognised.
Business analysis professionals at all stages of their careers can benefit from the certifications offered by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). A better explanation of this statement is provided by the distinctions between the ECBA, CCBA, and CBAP.
ECBA
The Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) level certifies that persons have a basic grasp of the foundations of business analysis. It’s geared at those who have no prior knowledge in the field of business analysis.
Prerequisite/Eligibility
The exam does not require any prior knowledge in Business Analysis. Before taking the test, though, it’s a good idea to go through the training.
Accept the ECBA Code of Conduct and complete a minimum of 21 hours of Professional Development Training in the last four years to become a Certified Business Analyst.

The BABoK Guide is the focus of the ECBATM exam, which is a 50-question multiple-choice examination administered online under the supervision of a proctor. One hour is allotted for the exam. You will be tested on the following topics:
- Five percent: Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring
- 20% of the time is spent soliciting and collaborating.
- Requirements Lifecycle management – 20%
- 5 percent of the time

PSI is used to arrange and write the exam. To take this exam, you will need to pay the following fees:
- The $60 application fee is required.
- The cost of membership is $85.
- Members pay $110 for the exam.
- For non-members, the exam price is $235.
No IIBA membership is required to apply for certification. In order to take use of the benefits of membership, it is recommended that you sign up.

CCBA

Eligibility
- The CCBA credential is awarded to those who have the following qualifications:
- The BABOK® Guide requires a minimum of 3750 hours of BA work experience within the last seven years, including:
- Each of the six knowledge areas must have at least 900 hours in each of the six knowledge areas.
- Professional Development Training must have taken place in the last four years.
- Two references from a career manager, customer, or CBAP recipients are required.

130 multiple choice questions are included in the CCBA exam by Sprintzeal, which is a computer-based test (CBT). To evaluate the candidate’s ability to apply the specified abilities, the questions are scenario-based. The exam is three hours long and covers the following areas of study:
- Planning and monitoring of business analysis
- Encouraging Others to Do the Same
- Requirements Management of the lifecycle
- Defining a strategy
- Design Definition and Requirements Analysis
- Analysis of the Problem
A CCBA certification has several advantages.

CBAP
Business Analysis experts who have more than five years of experience managing and leading are eligible to take the Certified Business Analysis Professional certification exam.
Prerequisites
BABOK® Guide-aligned BA experience in the previous 10 years, comprising at least 7500 hours of BA work.
- Each of the six knowledge areas must have a minimum of 900 hours of study.
- At least 35 hours of professional development training in the last four years.
- In addition, you should have two recommendations from a career manager, customer, or CBAP® recipients.

120 multiple choice questions are included in the CBAP exam, which is a computer-based test (CBT). Using case studies of information, the questions ask different inquiries about the case and are depending on the learner’s abilities. One to 1.5 pages of material is required for each question. A maximum of 3.5 hours is permitted.
